WHO WE ARE
Diane Williams is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Dignity Restored,a faith-based nonprofit helping individuals affected by homelessness, incarceration, addiction, trauma, and other life crises rebuild their lives.
Drawing from her own experience of overcoming significant challenges, Diane leads with compassion, resilience, and a deep belief that healing is possible. Through Dignity Restored, she is creating more than transitional housing—she is building a supportive community where individuals can find stability, develop essential skills, and move toward lasting independence.
Diane believes restoration begins when people are met with faith, opportunity, accountability, and the reassurance that they do not have to face life’s challenges alone.
Who We Are
Shirley Arnold is a Co-Founder of Dignity Restored and one of the organization’s founding vision-holders. Her leadership is grounded in faith, compassion, and a commitment to supporting individuals and families impacted by poverty, trauma, homelessness, and systemic inequity. Inspired in part by her sister Shenita’s experience with homelessness, Shirley has devoted her work to restoring dignity and creating meaningful opportunities for underserved communities.
She is also the founder of Sovereignty Abound African American Community, a nonprofit that provides food outreach, essential resources, mentorship, youth entrepreneurship opportunities, and community gardening. Through both organizations, Shirley works to ensure that people are met with respect, support, and hope as they move toward greater stability and opportunity.
MISSiON
Our mission is to provide safe, trauma-informed transitional housing and holistic support to individuals experiencing homelessness, reentry from incarceration, or personal crisis. Through mentoring, peer support, life-skills development, and community connection, we help individuals heal from trauma, rebuild independence, and move toward lasting stability and self-sufficiency.
WHO WE SERVE
We serve people in our community who are experiencing homelessness, unemployment or underemployment, or life crises related to trauma, abuse, abandonment, aging out of foster care, incarceration, addiction, or other barriers to independent living. We provide a safe, supportive place to heal, rebuild, and move toward lasting stability and independence.
